First fully computer-animated feature
On November 22, 1995, Toy Story arrived as the first feature film animated entirely on computers. It was a gamble that changed what animation could be.
It also handed the Disney parks a brand new world to build inside, and Woody and Buzz were about to spend the next three decades stepping off the screen.

Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin opened in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom, softly on October 7 and officially on November 3, 1998. Riders spun through the Gamma Quadrant in XP-37 cruisers and fired at Emperor Zurg's targets for a running score.
It was one of the first attractions to turn guests into players. Disneyland followed in 2005 with Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, which rolled out a striking new color scheme just this month.

Step right up to the midway
Disney's first 3-D midway shooter
Toy Story Midway Mania opened at Disney's Hollywood Studios on May 31, 2008, with a version at Disney California Adventure close behind. Guests pulled on 3-D glasses, yanked spring action launchers, and raced through a string of carnival games hosted by the toys.
It was a real leap in how Imagineering built interactive rides, and it stayed one of the most popular attractions in the park for years.

A whole land, built at toy scale
Slinky Dog Dash, 38 inches to ride
Toy Story Land had been spreading for years, opening at Walt Disney Studios in Paris in 2010 and Hong Kong Disneyland in 2011. On June 30, 2018, the eleven acre version landed at Disney's Hollywood Studios, the same summer Shanghai Disneyland opened its own.
Here guests shrink to the size of a toy in Andy's backyard. Slinky Dog Dash, a family coaster that zigzags over the grass, became the headliner, with Alien Swirling Saucers spinning alongside.
