DVC Points Calculator
Pick a resort, a room, and your real dates, and get the exact points your stay needs, night by night. Weekend nights and season changes inside the stay are counted correctly, one checkbox prices the same trip at every resort, and a rental rate turns the total into dollars. Free, no signup.
Every night is priced on its own, so the total depends on your exact dates. Set the stay and the total updates as you go. For the full charts behind these numbers, open the DVC point charts explorer.
How the totals work
A Disney Vacation Club stay is paid night by night, and three things set each night's price, the resort, the room and view, and the date. Friday and Saturday nights always cost more than Sunday through Thursday, and each resort splits the calendar into travel periods that rise and fall across the year. The calculator walks your stay one night at a time and applies the right value to each, so a trip that crosses a weekend or a season boundary still comes out exact, with the whole per-night breakdown laid out below the total.
Points into dollars
You do not have to own points to use this math. Owners rent their spare points through brokers, and that turns any points total into a real dollar figure, often well under the cash price for the same room. In 2026 most listed rates run from the low $20s to about $30 a point. Type the rate you are quoted into the calculator and the total shows what the stay would cost as a rental, which is also the honest way to judge whether buying a contract of your own makes sense. The charts behind the calculator
Every number here comes from the same dataset as our DVC point charts explorer, where you can read any resort's full chart, compare resorts month by month, and see exactly what changed from 2026 to 2027.
Common questions
How many DVC points do I need for a week
It depends on the resort, the room, and the dates, because every night is priced on its own. On the 2027 charts, the cheapest seven night studio stay is about 54 points, in the quietest week of the year at Hilton Head, while a studio in the priciest week reaches 242 points at Polynesian. One and two bedroom villas scale up from there. Set your exact dates above for the real number.
Do weekend nights cost more DVC points
Yes. Every resort prices Friday and Saturday nights higher than Sunday through Thursday, so the same seven nights can total differently depending on where the weekend falls. The calculator counts each kind of night correctly and marks the weekend nights in the breakdown.
What does it cost to rent DVC points
Owners and brokers set their own rates, and in 2026 most listings run from the low $20s to about $30 a point depending on the resort, the room category, and how far ahead you book. Enter the rate you are quoted and the calculator turns your points total into dollars, so you can weigh a rental against the cash price for the same room.
Which resort needs the fewest points
On the 2027 charts the fewest points at Walt Disney World belong to the Value studios at Animal Kingdom's Jambo House, a small pool of rooms, with the Old Key West and Saratoga Springs studios and the Riviera Tower Studio just behind. The winner can shift with your dates, so tick compare this trip at every resort and the calculator ranks your exact stay, cheapest first.
Can it total stays in 2026 and 2027
Yes. Both years' charts are loaded, and a stay that crosses from one year into the other is priced from the right chart on each side of the line. The 2026 charts for Vero Beach, Aulani, Grand Californian, and the Villas at Disneyland Hotel are still being verified, so those four total 2027 stays only for now, and any night the tool cannot price is flagged rather than guessed.
Does the total include banking, borrowing, or booking windows
No. The calculator prices the stay itself, the points the room requires for your dates. How you cover that total, with this year's points, banked ones, or borrowed ones, is an ownership decision, and room availability at the 11 and 7 month windows is its own game.
