Tiana's Bayou Adventure closes November 2

Tiana's Bayou Adventure closes for refurbishment on Monday, November 2, 2026, and Disney expects it back in December. It is the log flume's first refurbishment since it opened in June 2024, and it comes after a rough run. Over the last 90 days it was the least available ride at Magic Kingdom, running 87 percent of the day.

Yes, more than almost any other ride at Magic Kingdom. Over the last 90 days it logged 105 breakdowns and was running 87 percent of the day, the least available ride at Magic Kingdom.

Each bar is one of the last 90 days, taller when Tiana's spent more of it down. The roughest was July 30, down 86% of the day. Only 23 days ran without a single stop.

Summer was the worst of it. In our July ride reliability report, Tiana's was Magic Kingdom's least reliable attraction for the month, up 85 percent of the time with 41 breakdowns that averaged 94 minutes. It steadied in August, when Big Thunder Mountain took over as the park's least reliable ride, but it never matched the park's steadiest headliners.

Disney's attraction page says the ride "will temporarily close for routine refurbishment on November 2 and is expected to reopen in December 2026." The exit shop is reported to close alongside it. The Disneyland version of Tiana's Bayou Adventure is not part of this closure.

A first refurbishment about two and a half years in is normal for an outdoor water ride. Flumes get drained, the channel and boats are serviced, and the show scenes get attention while crowds are lighter. Riders on fan forums have described scenes that were not working lately, and the ride's record above shows why the timing makes sense.
