What you get with a party ticket

Oogie Boogie Bash is a separately ticketed, after-hours night at Disney California Adventure with lower capacity than a regular park day, so the decorated park feels calmer and the headliners run shorter lines. A ticket includes early entry before the party officially starts, plus everything below.

  • Twelve treat trails with candy and snacks all around the park
  • The Frightfully Fun Parade led by the Headless Horseman
  • Villains Grove, the projection-mapped walkthrough at Redwood Creek Challenge Trail
  • Rare Disney villain meet and greets you only get at the party
  • The chance to wear a Halloween costume to the park
  • Free PhotoPass downloads from the night
  • Short waits on the park's attractions

The prices on this page are the full ticket price. California does not add sales tax to theme park admission, so the amount you see is what you pay. Children under three are free, and everyone three and older pays the same party price.

The shows and entertainment

A few headline experiences run only during the party, and they are the reason most people buy a ticket. Plan your night around the ones you care about most, since the parade and the treat trails draw the biggest crowds.

The Frightfully Fun Parade

The Headless Horseman opens the parade, chasing Ichabod Crane down the street, followed by Mickey and Minnie in their Halloween best, the Nightmare Before Christmas crew, the Haunted Mansion's happy haunts, and a lineup of Disney villains. It runs twice most nights, and the later showing is usually less crowded.

Villains Grove

The Redwood Creek Challenge Trail is transformed with lighting, projection mapping, and music into a surreal walkthrough themed to Disney villains, among them Maleficent, Scar, Dr. Facilier, Frollo, and the Queen of Hearts.

Treat trails

Twelve marked trails wind through the park to candy and snack stations, the Oogie Boogie Bash take on trick or treating, with a Disney villain holding court along many of them. They are walkable for all ages and a highlight for younger guests.

Villains and characters you can meet

Oogie Boogie Bash is the villain night of the year, with short, party exclusive meet and greets and villain-hosted treat trails you cannot get on a normal park day. The full 2026 lineup is announced closer to the season, but here is who tends to turn up.

  • Oogie Boogie himself, the host of the party
  • Jack Skellington and Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas
  • A rotating cast of Disney villains like Hades, Dr. Facilier, Maleficent, and the Queen of Hearts
  • The villains of Villains Grove, from Scar to Frollo to the Evil Queen
  • Mickey, Minnie, and friends in their party only Halloween costumes

Lines for the rarest villains build fast. If a specific meet is your priority, head there at the start of the party rather than waiting for later in the night.

How and when to buy

Pick your night first

Use the picker above. If your dates are flexible, sort by cheapest or by lower crowds. If your dates are fixed, check how fast that night is likely to book up.

Buy now, tickets are on sale

Magic Key holders bought first on June 16 and 17, and tickets went on sale to everyone on June 18, so the full calendar is available now through the official Disneyland site.

Skip the D23 night unless you are a member

September 27 is reserved for D23 members. If you are not one, pick any of the other nights on the calendar.

Arrive for early entry

Your party ticket lets you into Disney California Adventure at 3 in the afternoon, before the 6 o'clock start, so you can ride and find a parade or treat trail spot before the crowd settles in.

Is it worth it

If villains, the parade, the treat trails, and Villains Grove in a decorated park with shorter ride lines sound like your kind of night, it is an easy yes. The lower capacity is the whole point, you trade a regular evening for a calmer, more festive one. For the best mix of price and quiet, aim for a lower crowd weeknight in August or early September.

Common questions

When is Oogie Boogie Bash 2026

The party runs on 33 select nights, August 18 through October 31, 2026, on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays plus Halloween night. Each night runs from 6 in the evening to 11, and your party ticket lets you into Disney California Adventure as early as 3 in the afternoon.

The August nights and the first Tuesday in September are the lowest at $139. They are the best value on the calendar, which is also why they book up quickly.

Which nights sell out first

Halloween night goes first, followed by the October dates and the cheapest August nights. If your dates are fixed, book as soon as you can.

What is the D23 night on September 27

September 27 is an Oogie Boogie Bash night reserved for D23 members. If you are not a member, pick any of the other nights on the calendar.

What characters can you meet at Oogie Boogie Bash

This is the villain night of the year. Expect Oogie Boogie, Jack Skellington and Sally, and a rotating cast of Disney villains like Hades, Dr. Facilier, Maleficent, and the Queen of Hearts, plus Mickey, Minnie, and friends in their Halloween costumes. The full lineup is announced closer to the season.

What is included with a party ticket

Early entry into Disney California Adventure before the party starts, the twelve treat trails with candy around the park, the Frightfully Fun Parade, the Villains Grove walkthrough at Redwood Creek, rare villain meet and greets, the chance to wear a costume, free PhotoPass downloads, and short waits on attractions, all on a night with lower capacity than a regular park day.
