Dates and hours below are Disney's official calendar, checked July 23, 2026. Prices vary by date inside each park's range, but the crowd cap makes every night ride the same, so the smart buy is simply the cheapest date that fits your trip. Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club members save $30 per ticket. And nights genuinely do sell out, Magic Kingdom's entire season proved it.

The four headliners alone, Test Track, Cosmic Rewind, Frozen, and Remy, are over four hours of combined afternoon standby. The event's four other attractions, Spaceship Earth, Living with the Land, The Seas, and Gran Fiesta Tour, post single digit to low teen waits by day, which makes EPCOT the event where the headliner savings do all the work.
The stat that settles it. Slinky Dog Dash averages 75 minutes on a July afternoon and is still averaging 74 at 7 in the evening. A regular Hollywood Studios night never rescues you from that line. The only time it collapses is when the park empties and the event crowd cap takes over.
Against the daytime alternative
The daytime way to skip these lines is Lightning Lane Multi Pass plus singles for the biggest rides, on top of regular park admission. As of late July, Rise of the Resistance alone has been selling as a $20 Lightning Lane single at Hollywood Studios, with TRON at $21 and Cosmic Rewind at $18 at their parks, and each single covers exactly one ride, once. What the ticket actually gets you
The event is three hours, but the ticket is closer to six. It opens the gate at 7:00 PM with no day admission needed, so your night on a Hollywood Studios or EPCOT date runs like this.

Ice cream novelties, popcorn, and select bottled drinks are included, handed out at carts around the park all night. It will not replace dinner, so eat before you come. Counter spots that stay open charge normally.
A capped crowd
Disney limits how many event tickets each night sells, and that cap is the whole product. No Lightning Lane, no strategy apps, no early morning sprint. Just walk to the next ride and get on, then do it again.

Tickets sell by date on Disney's official After Hours page, and each night is priced individually inside the ranges above. Annual Passholders and DVC members get $30 off per ticket while logged in. Do not treat the calendar as patient, Magic Kingdom's entire 2026 season sold through with its finale still weeks away.
Waiting for 2027
Disney's Magic Kingdom event page already points sold out shoppers at 2027. The 2026 season was announced and on sale by early October 2025, Disney resort guests first with everyone else about five days behind, so expect the 2027 calendar around early fall. When dates drop, buy the cheapest night that fits and check our Magic Kingdom crowd calendar before locking the rest of the trip around it.
The rest of the after dark lineup. After Hours is the ride session. If you want fireworks, parades, and characters with your late night, that is Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party territory. And the water park runs its own summer version, H2O Glow After Hours at Typhoon Lagoon through September 5, covered in our water park guide. The two remaining September EPCOT nights also land inside the Food and Wine Festival, so a 7 PM arrival buys you festival hours before the ride session starts.

What is Disney After Hours?
A separately ticketed event on select nights at Walt Disney World. After the park closes to day guests, a capped number of After Hours ticket holders get three more hours with short ride waits, plus ice cream novelties, popcorn, and select bottled drinks included in the ticket price. Your event ticket also lets you into the park from 7:00 PM, so you get closer to five or six hours inside on one ticket.
Which parks have After Hours in 2026?
Three parks hosted 2026 events. Hollywood Studios runs through September 12 and EPCOT through September 24, both still on sale. Magic Kingdom's entire 2026 season is sold out, with its final night on July 27.

How is After Hours different from Mickey's Not So Scary or the Christmas party?
The holiday parties are entertainment events, with parades, exclusive shows, and long character lines sharing the night with the rides. After Hours flips that trade. The ride list is the show, with a DJ and surprise character sightings around the park instead of parades and stage productions, and Magic Kingdom nights ran fireworks as an event exclusive.
