The best time to visit Disneyland in 2027 is a September weekday, the calmest month on our forecast, with 85-degree days and almost no rain. May is the other top month, and weekdays in April, August and November come close. July is the busiest so far. At Disneyland the weekday matters more than the month, because Saturdays run busy all year.

The holidays run at Disneyland Resort through January 6, and the first two days of the year forecast packed. Then the floor drops out. From the 4th our forecast puts almost every Monday to Thursday in January at 1 out of 10, the lowest reading the scale has.
The trade is the month itself. January is one of the wettest months in the Anaheim area, 2.85 inches across about five wet days, and one of the coldest, with a normal low of 46. The holiday versions of it's a small world and Haunted Mansion close to come down early in the year, and outdoor rides like Grizzly River Run usually take a winter break. Check the Disneyland ride closures calendar before you book a short trip around one ride.

February is the wettest month in the Anaheim area, 3.02 inches over nearly seven wet days, and a coastal storm can wash out a whole day. Its weekdays still forecast nearly as light as January's. Lunar New Year falls on February 6, and in 2026 California Adventure ran its Lunar New Year celebration from January 23 to February 22.
The one weekend to avoid is Presidents Day. Saturday the 13th and Sunday the 14th forecast busy to packed, though Monday the 15th is already back to moderate. If you have flexible dates, the 2nd to the 4th, the 9th to the 11th and the 23rd to the 25th all forecast light.

March is two months. The first nineteen days are some of the best of the spring, with every weekday light on our forecast and the rain easing to 1.74 inches. Food and Wine at California Adventure usually opens early in the month, and in 2026 it ran from March 6 to April 27.
Then spring break lands all at once. Easter is March 28 in 2027, early enough to pull the break forward, and from Saturday the 20th to Monday the 29th every date forecasts busy or packed. Irvine schools are out from March 29 to April 2. If your dates are flexible, go before the 20th.

April is the month the rain stops. The Anaheim area gets 0.59 inches across three or four wet days, and the normal high of 74 is close to perfect park weather. The first weekend still carries Easter week, with Saturday the 3rd forecast packed.
From Tuesday the 6th, Tuesdays to Thursdays fall back to light and stay there. Capistrano and Long Beach schools take April 5 to 9, but our forecast keeps those midweek days light anyway. After Easter weekend, the weekends sit at moderate to busy. If Food and Wine runs to late April again, the last two weeks give you the festival with almost no one in line.

May is the last month of the easy calendar. Every Tuesday and Wednesday forecasts light, the normal high is 76, and rain is down to 0.30 inches. Mornings are often gray and cool under the marine layer, which locals call May Gray, and it usually burns off by lunch.
Memorial Day weekend is the wall. Friday the 28th through Sunday the 30th forecast busy to packed, and summer pricing follows right behind. In 2026 Disney's kids summer ticket offer started on May 22, so watch for a 2027 version before you book late May.

The first three days of June are the last light dates until August. Southern California schools let out the first week of the month, Irvine on June 4 and Capistrano on June 3, and from Friday the 4th our forecast never drops below moderate again. Weekdays and weekends forecast almost alike, which is what summer at Disneyland looks like.
The weather helps. June Gloom keeps mornings gray and in the low 60s, the normal high is only 79, and it almost never rains. Longer summer hours give back some of what the crowds take, so plan on rope drop and a late night with a break in between.

July is the busiest month of 2027 at Disneyland that our forecast covers so far. Not one date falls below moderate, every Saturday forecasts busy, and the Fourth of July forecasts packed. In return, summer usually brings the longest park hours of the year.
If July is your only choice, use the weekdays, Tuesday and Wednesday most of all, and get there before opening. The normal high of 84 is warmer than spring but nowhere near Orlando's, and inland heat waves are the bigger risk than rain, which all but stops.

August is the surprise of the Disneyland calendar. After Sunday the 1st our forecast drops every Tuesday and Wednesday back to 1 out of 10, and most other weekdays to light, even before local schools go back in mid August.
The cost is heat. August is the hottest month in the Anaheim area, with a normal high of 87, and inland heat waves can push well past that, so plan the middle of the day indoors. In 2026 Halloween Time started on August 21, so late August can give you the decorations and light weekday crowds at once.

September is the calmest month of 2027 at Disneyland on our forecast. Apart from Labor Day weekend, the 4th to the 6th, nearly every Monday to Thursday forecasts 1 out of 10, the bottom of the scale. The normal high is 85, rain is all but absent, and Halloween Time has been up by September in recent years.
Watch for party nights. In 2026 Oogie Boogie Bash ran 33 nights at California Adventure from August into October, so check the calendar if you want a full evening there. The one real weather risk is a Santa Ana, the hot dry wind from the desert that can push an afternoon well past the normal.

October gives you an 80 degree normal high, usually Halloween at both parks and almost no rain, and everyone knows it. On our forecast every Saturday and Sunday in October forecasts busy or packed, from the 2nd and 3rd through Halloween weekend.
The weekdays are the opposite. Tuesdays and Wednesdays run light all month, with the 12th to the 14th and the 19th to the 21st among the calmest dates of the autumn. A midweek October trip may be the best value of the year.

In 2026 the holiday season at Disneyland Resort opens on November 13, and that is the draw of November. The first weeks are calm on weekdays, and our forecast puts Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 1 out of 10 into the third week.
Thanksgiving week is the wall. From Thursday the 25th to Sunday the 28th every date forecasts busy or packed. The Monday and Tuesday after, the 29th and 30th, fall straight back to light, with every decoration still up. For holiday Disneyland without holiday crowds, that is the window.

The first two weeks of December carry the full holiday season on calmer weekdays, and the run between Thanksgiving week and the school breaks has been the best holiday window for years. Rain returns, 1.86 inches across six wet days, and nights drop toward 46.
Then the breaks begin. Irvine's winter break starts December 20, 2027, and the days from about the 18th to New Year's Day are usually the most crowded of the year. A weekday in September. It is the calmest month of 2027 on our forecast, the normal high is 85, and it almost never rains. May is the other top month, with light weekdays, a 76-degree normal high and almost no rain. Weekdays in April, August and November come close. July is the busiest month our forecast covers so far.
What is the least crowded day of the week at Disneyland
Tuesday, then Wednesday. Across 2027 our forecast puts Tuesdays and Wednesdays lowest in almost every month outside summer, and Saturdays highest. Outside June and July, a Tuesday usually forecasts calmer than any Saturday of the year.
When is Disneyland the busiest in 2027
July as a month, then the holiday weeks. Spring break from March 20 to 29, Memorial Day weekend, the Fourth of July and Thanksgiving weekend all forecast busy or packed. Christmas week, from about December 18 to New Year's Day, is usually the most crowded stretch of all.

Does it rain much at Disneyland
Rarely, and almost all of it falls from November to March. February is the wettest month at about three inches. From May to September there is close to none, with July and August averaging a fiftieth of an inch.
