Mickey and Friends is Disneyland's main parking structure, off Disneyland Drive next to I-5. Standard parking is $40 a day and preferred is $60. Take the escalators down to security, then ride the free tram to the Esplanade. Most people reach the gates 20 to 30 minutes after parking, or about the same on foot through Downtown Disney.

From the freeway to the tram.
Follow the signs to Disneyland Drive
Coming south on I-5, take the Disneyland Drive and Ball Road exit and stay in the left lanes. The carpool lane has its own exit straight onto Disneyland Drive. Search Mickey and Friends Parking Structure in your map app rather than a street address.
Pay at the booth
Pay $40 by card or mobile pay. Cast Members may wave you into Pixar Pals next door when Mickey and Friends is filling. It costs the same and uses the same tram.
Save your spot
Each level is named for a character, and rows are numbered. Snap a photo of the sign, or save your spot with the car locator in the Disneyland app.
Down the escalators to security
Escalators and elevators bring you to the ground level, where bag check and metal detectors sit before the tram and the walkway.
Tram or walk
The tram drops you at the edge of the Esplanade. The walkway runs through Downtown Disney to the same spot in about 15 minutes. Fold strollers before you board the tram.
Per person, per day
Split the fee.
Parking is charged per car, so a full car makes it cheap. Each daily rate, divided by everyone riding along. A family of four pays $10 each for standard.

Yes. After security, a walkway leads through Downtown Disney to the Esplanade. It takes about 15 minutes at an easy pace, and on a busy night it is often faster than the tram line.
What is the difference between Mickey and Friends and Pixar Pals?
They sit side by side off Disneyland Drive, with one price, one security area and the same tram. Pixar Pals has its own entrance on Magic Way, and Cast Members direct cars to whichever structure is filling.
What time does Mickey and Friends open?
About an hour before the first park opens. Cars often queue before the booths open on busy mornings.
